Threat Made To Severna Park High School Leads To Lockdown

An investigation has been launched after a threat targeting an Anne Arundel school led to lockdowns, police say.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department issued an alert at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning as they investigate a threat of possible violence to Severna Park High School, prompting a lockdown at the high school and middle school.

According to police, there is no evidence of weapons inside the school or on school property, though there will be a heavy police presence in the area as they continue to investigate the threat.

More information is expected to be released.
